The rules of the road.

sabaisabai is a small, free Thai-learning app maintained by Castagna Labs (Romain Castagna). It teaches Thai consonants, vowels, tones, vocabulary, reading, and includes practice modes.

The service is provided as-is and free of charge. We don't promise the content is error-free — double-check anything you'd put on a test, a tattoo, or a contract.

You can use sabaisabai with or without an account. Without an account, your progress isn't saved. With an account, your XP, streaks, saved vocabulary and theme sync across devices.

You agree to:

• · Provide a real email address you can be reached at
• · Keep your sign-in credentials confidential
• · Not create multiple accounts to circumvent XP gating
• · Be at least 13 years old, or use the app under parental supervision

You can delete your account at any time by emailing admin@learnsabaisabai.com. Deletion details are in our privacy policy.

You may use sabaisabai for personal language learning. You may not:

• · Harass, threaten or abuse other users (via shared vocab content, etc.)
• · Upload illegal, copyrighted-without-permission, or sexually explicit material
• · Scrape, mirror, or republish the app's content at scale without permission
• · Attempt to bypass authentication, access other accounts, or probe security
• · Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to inflate XP or game leaderboards

We may remove offending content or suspend accounts that breach these rules.

AI features:

The "AI fill" button on the vocab page is for completing genuine Thai-learning entries. Don't paste prompt-injection attempts, requests for non-Thai-learning content, or third-party copyrighted text you want laundered through the model. AI output is best-effort, generated by OpenAI, and not verified by Thai language experts — double-check anything you save. We may rate-limit, throttle, or temporarily disable AI features at any time.

Our content: the consonants, vowels, tones, seed vocabulary, stories, fables, dialogues and recipes shipped with the app are © Castagna Labs and provided for personal learning under a permissive non-commercial license. Linking to learnsabaisabai.com is welcome; bulk redistribution requires our permission.

Your content: vocabulary entries and stories you add to your account belong to you. By saving them you grant us a non-exclusive license to store, render and sync them on your behalf. We don't share user-added content with anyone else.

The Android app is currently a beta distributed outside Google Play. It is self-signed and may surface "unknown sources" warnings on install — that's expected. The beta may have bugs, unexpected sign-outs, or temporary downtime as we ship fixes.

sabaisabai is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Castagna Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the underlying services (Firebase quotas), or post illegal content. We'll try to reach you at your sign-in email before taking action when possible.

You may stop using the app at any time. Account deletion is self-service via email (see section 2).

Material changes to these terms will be flagged via the Last updated date above and a one-time notice on next sign-in. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
